  • See my video on beauty of kanthal wire. You will be amazed. If I was clever i never knew it

  • I made one out of stainless steel tube and kanthal wire handle for picking up while red hot coal inside. And most importantly the grid holding the coals is made from kanthal wire. It never ever melts or rust… MIRACLE WIRE. Then when you have finished your bbq you can pick up the red-hot cylinder and put it into a big airtight container to snuff the fire and reuse the charcoal. SUCCESS

  • I just did this this evening, and man it was amazing! A little more practice needed as it was too medium for me, I prefer medium-rare, but the flame grilled taste is next level! I need a better grate too, as this was hot enough to begin melting my grill (and cracked the paving slab I had the chimney sitting on, oops)

  • Dude, let the coals burn down a little. You will get ALL the same heat for the sear without the open flame turning your meat into carbon ash.

  • I guess this is better than throwing it into a pot of boiling water 🙁
